Katie Akins is a mother of four, grandmother of three, and long-time yoga lover who values family, fresh air, and a good home-cooked meal. With over 20 years of practice, she found her passion for yoga after her very first in-person class left her feeling grounded and inspired. Katie’s teaching blends slow flow and Vinyasa, offering gentle guidance and mindful challenges so every student feels supported. She loves helping others discover strength, balance, and the peace that yoga has brought to her life.

Jamie Baugh has been a yoga instructor for 18 years and began her fitness and yoga journey in college after taking her first yoga class. Inspired to learn more, she completed her YogaFit Teacher Training, earning certificates in YogaFit levels 1, 2, and 3, Yoga Strength, Yoga Core, as well as Sunrise Yoga, Practical Yoga, and Mat Science through AFAA. She also has over a decade of experience as both a certified personal trainer and a spinning instructor. She loves teaching because it's fun and enjoys sharing the mind-body benefits of yoga with her students. Outside of the studio, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, playing the occasional practical joke, and keeping up with her son and four cats.

Celia Davenport is originally from South Georgia and now calls Fort Payne home. She has practiced dentistry for over a decade and currently works at Dr. Vizzinia’s office. Celia and her husband, Jeff, have a ten-year-old son named Broughton and a lively dog named Pepper.

Celia fell in love with Pilates more than 20 years ago and credits it with bringing strength, flexibility, and peace of mind to her life. After moving from Birmingham, she missed her regular Pilates practice and was excited for the chance to teach and share her passion with the Fort Payne community. Celia is thrilled to help others discover the joy and benefits of Pilates.

Janie Hale is the owner and founder of Soul Shine Yoga & Wellness Studio, as well as a wife, mom to two boys, and animal lover. She began her yoga journey eight years ago and has been teaching for the past five. For Janie, yoga is a way of life—one that brings balance, healing, and clarity both on and off the mat.

Janie believes yoga is for everyone and welcomes students of all backgrounds to her classes. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys time in nature, traveling, and being with her family. Janie is grateful for the Soul Shine community and looks forward to welcoming you into a space where you can breathe, move, and be yourself.
