Katie Akins is a mother of four, grandmother of three, and long-time yoga lover who values family, fresh air, and a good home-cooked meal. With over 20 years of practice, she found her passion for yoga after her very first in-person class left her feeling grounded and inspired. Katie’s teaching blends slow flow and Vinyasa, offering gentle guidance and mindful challenges so every student feels supported. She loves helping others discover strength, balance, and the peace that yoga has brought to her life.
Brevard Wilbanks is a certified yoga teacher with a passion for Yin yoga and the power of stillness. Her classes offer a quiet, restorative space to slow down, soften, and reconnect. In addition to teaching yoga, Brevard is a licensed therapist specializing in trauma and nervous system regulation. She’s also a new mom, wife to Peyton Wilbanks, and owner of two spirited dachshunds. Her work, both on and off the mat, is rooted in compassion, presence, and the belief that rest is essential to our lives.


Jamie Baugh has been a yoga instructor for 18 years and began her fitness and yoga journey in college after taking her first yoga class. Inspired to learn more, she completed her YogaFit Teacher Training, earning certificates in YogaFit levels 1, 2, and 3, Yoga Strength, Yoga Core, as well as Sunrise Yoga, Practical Yoga, and Mat Science through AFAA. She also has over a decade of experience as both a certified personal trainer and a spinning instructor. She loves teaching because it's fun and enjoys sharing the mind-body benefits of yoga with her students. Outside of the studio, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, playing the occasional practical joke, and keeping up with her son and four cats.​
Celia Davenport is originally from South Georgia and now calls Fort Payne home. She has practiced dentistry for over a decade and currently works at Dr. Vizzinia’s office. Celia and her husband, Jeff, have a ten-year-old son named Broughton and a lively dog named Pepper.
Celia fell in love with Pilates more than 20 years ago and credits it with bringing strength, flexibility, and peace of mind to her life. After moving from Birmingham, she missed her regular Pilates practice and was excited for the chance to teach and share her passion with the Fort Payne community. Celia is thrilled to help others discover the joy and benefits of Pilates.


Collette Hanson is a vibrant yoga instructor who encourages students to embrace their unique energy and rediscover the joy of playful movement. Passionate about self-acceptance, Collette weaves mindfulness and celebration of individuality into every class. Guided by the belief that “your weird and your different is your superpower,” Collette creates a welcoming space where everyone can shine authentically.
Kaylee Wells has been dancing for over 13 years and brings a passion for movement and performance to every class. She has taught at Unleashed Dance Company and Kohl’s Academy of Performing Arts, as well as performed and helped choreograph shows for Northeast Alabama Community College. Kaylee loves sharing the joy of dance as both an emotional outlet and a source of fun, and is happiest when helping others experience the art form she loves.


Kim Lutz-Jones spent years in the equestrian industry training both horses and riders, which sparked her passion for safe and effective conditioning. In 2017, she became a certified 200-hour yoga instructor and has since taught group and private classes in studios, corporations, and colleges. Kim also holds a Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Mat Pilates Certification.
From 2022 to 2024, Kim worked at Stretch Lab as a Flexologist, specializing in PNF stretching to help clients target specific areas and deepen their routines. Her thoughtfully designed classes focus on building strength, flexibility, and balance, always beginning with a gentle warm-up and ending with restorative stretches.
Courtney Willingham is excited to be part of the Soul Shine Yoga community and to share her love of yoga with others. A lifelong dancer, Courtney discovered yoga shortly after high school over 13 years ago and has been teaching for the past five years.
Courtney believes yoga is a beautiful, healing practice for the mind, body, and spirit. In her classes, she offers breathwork, mindful movement, and meditation, creating a welcoming space for all. She looks forward to practicing with you!


Skylar Jackson is a certified Spin instructor, AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, and NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a passion for helping people move, feel, and live better. With over ten years of experience teaching, Skylar brings high energy, expert guidance, and a deep commitment to helping others reach their fitness goals—no matter their level. Whether in a class setting or in the gym, Skylar believes in building strength through movement and connection.
Mary Katherine Dunne—known by most as MK—was born in Mississippi and has spent much of her adult life in Alabama. With 15 years of experience as a nurse and nurse practitioner, MK is passionate about promoting happiness, health, and peace. Through her own practice and personal experiences, she discovered yoga’s power to provide holistic healing and restore both mind and body. Most days, you’ll find her on her mat moving and grooving, and she hopes you’ll join her on yours!


Lori Adams has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. She has led a wide variety of group exercise classes and worked one-on-one as a personal fitness trainer, empowering clients of all ages and fitness levels. Lori combines motivation, education, and personalized support to create a positive, results-driven environment focused on functional fitness and well-being. She is certified by the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and is dedicated to helping others stay strong and active at every stage of life.
Janie Hale is the owner and founder of Soul Shine Yoga & Wellness Studio, as well as a wife, mom to two boys, and animal lover. She began her yoga journey eight years ago and has been teaching for the past five. For Janie, yoga is a way of life—one that brings balance, healing, and clarity both on and off the mat.
Janie believes yoga is for everyone and welcomes students of all backgrounds to her classes. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys time in nature, traveling, and being with her family. Janie is grateful for the Soul Shine community and looks forward to welcoming you into a space where you can breathe, move, and be yourself.
